Getting some Project Life stuff back on track

Tuesday, 16 August 2016

I haven't been much of a Project Life crafter but I am trying to get back into the swing of things.

I have so many PL-kits from Studio Calico and Cocoa Daisy then I kinda need to put to good use so why not use them to get back into the documenting swing.

I take so many photos and to be completely honest I will never scrapbook all those photos so the PL-thing is kinda what I need to get my photos in order.

The hardest part about PL-Documenting is taking pics of those spreads, but practice makes perfect.

Until next time!

Fun in Kildare

Friday, 8 July 2016

I have a new layout that I created for SpiegelMom Scraps to share today.

I took this photo (or selfie) along with my dear friend Ragnheiður when we went to Kildare, Ireland last summer. We had such grand time at the fab Finnbair course we fell in love with Ireland.

Since our trip was all about mixed-media learning I just had to get a bit messy with the background.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope your Friday is a fab one!

Supplies:
Here are the links to what I have used on my creation. Please click on the picture to be taken to where the items are available. Some items may not me listed below due to them being discontinued (older product) or I am unable to find a link.

Almost

Wednesday, 29 June 2016

When Siggi and I got married last March we took a family-selfie just an hour before the ceremony.

It is not easy taking a photo of the girls and us without out them looking of into the distance or making funny faces.

So this photo happened and in one take too  - that is amazing in my book! .)

Thanks for stopping by!

Hi all and happy First Day of Summer here in Iceland!

The girls are celebrating summer the traditional way - with bubbles and endless laughter!

I created this layout for SpiegelMom Scraps a while back and for some reason I haven't shared it on my blog - so I better fix that!

I used several different kinds of sequins and that Gold Doily from SpiegelMom Scraps, along with Studio Calico wood veneers, Thickers and pretty papers.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Make a wish

Monday, 10 August 2015

I have been wanting to get my hands on some of those fab Make It Crafty stamps for a long time and last month I purchased several digi stamps to start my collection.

This stamp just screams birthday celebrations so I decided to go with a soft colored b-day card.

Copic markers used:
Skin E000/00/11 R20
Hair YG01/03/05
Eyes E11/13/15
Shoes YR00/01/02
Top YR00/01/02 G21/24
Trousers C0/1/3
Hat Y11/13/15 G21/24

I used the July card kit from Studio Calico and colored the image with my Copic Markers. Plus I added a bit of glitter using my Wink of Stella Clear brush pen.

Thanks so much for stopping by! :)

Dream junk journal

Friday, 24 July 2015

Hi everyone!
I have another "clean" junk journal to share today and this one was made using some of my older, and still fave, Ladies and Gents collection from Webster's Pages.

The covers are made from heavy weight chipboard, covered with patterned papers and inked with Walnut Stain Distress Inks.

I used a selection of Prima flowers to decorate the cover, wood veneers & a gold doily from Studio Calico, embossing powder and liquid pearls.

I created some pockets, waterfall and inserts here and there so there should be plenty of space to add some journaling and/or photos.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope your day is a good one!

Safari cuteness!

Thursday, 9 July 2015

This lil lion from the On Safari stamp set is the cutest dude ever and I love coloring him with my Tim Holtz Distress markers.

He is so stinking cute and makes for a great baby card if you want to step away from the traditional pink and blues.

I used some papers from a my Studio Calico card kits, misting, gemstones and a doily - gosh I love this lil dude!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Drinks All Around Piper

Monday, 6 July 2015

Piper is ready for summer and she will be bringing the chilled beverages to the beach!

Copic colors:
Skin E000/00/11/93
Hair E31/33/35
Eyes B21/23/24
Top YR15/04/14 C0/1/3
Shorts C1/3/4
Shoes YR15/04/14
Bottles BG000/01 Y11/13/15

I wanted to color this girlie using a mix of orange and greys and the main reason for choosing orange was because I am orange-challenged.

My "scary" colors are orange and purple - so the best way to get more comfortable with those colors is to actually use them!

Hop on over to the Odd Blog for lots more fab inspiration from the Oddies!

Puppy Love

Friday, 19 June 2015

I just got this adorable digi stamp called Puppy Love from Tiddly Inks and I just had to sit down and use these lil dudes on a card.

I used some of my precious My Minds Eye paper pads as the base idea for this card and I used my colored pencils from Caran d'Arche.

These pencils are so soft and I just love discovering new things in coloring.

Thanks for stopping by - laters! :)
