Happy New Year and happy birthday CSi!

Happy New Year all and I am certain this will be a creative, colorful crafty kinda year!

CSi is turning five today and to celebrate Debbi asked me (along with several other retired detectives) to celebrate with them. I was happy to celebrate with her all all the amazing talents over at the CSi blog.

The colors in this challenge are so bright and since the case file is all about celebration I used a photo of my lil girl's which was taken on her birthday last month.

I also used the sketch as inspiration for my design, and here is my evidence list: Tiny dots - circles - different colored letter stickers - enamel dots.

Cat Wisard

It's the final day of the Halloween release from Some Odd Girl and I just adore this Cat-Wizard to bits.

How cool is this kitty all dressed up and ready to party up a storm.

I used my old and fave Halloween paper collection from My Minds Eye along with some sparkly bits to make it more like a party card.

Voodoo Priestess

Hi all - it´s all about Halloween over at Some Odd Girl this week and I have five new creations to share with you using some of the new digi stamps that are being released this week, 

First is the Voodoo Priestess and she is quite scary I must say.

I used some of my old, but fave, Basic Grey papers to create this card.

These aren't what you might call Halloween colors but since we don't celebrate this holiday here in Iceland I like to experiment with these images.

Ohh Happy Day Folio

I haven't created a Folio-mini for awhile but I just finished this one and I love how it turned out.

I think I am in love with all things gold and sparkly and this gorgeous paper collection by My Minds Eye is so much fun to work with.

Not only are many of the patterned papers foiled but the patterns are so pretty that I had hard time covering them up.

 

Everything in the folio is kept kinda flat so that it's easier to add photos without too much bulk but I just had to add some dimension on the front cover.

Sparkly Angel Mae

Red and silver

As most of you know I love all things sparkly and this card is kinda sparkly.

I also used a bunch of red Copic markers on this image and I am still a bit intimidated my the red markers so the best way is to use the more often.

Bloom where you are planted

Happy Monday all and I hope you are enjoying summer wherever you are!

Krista from Saturated Canary launched a coloring contest last week where she was focusing on "Fashion Decades" and I just loved the stamps that she created for this challenge.

I was traveling at that time so I didn't participate in the challenge but I managed to get my hands on the set I wanted.

I got the 40´s and 50´S Fashion Decades images. 

I colored the 40´s image using my Pablo Caran d'Ache pencils and of course I had to add a bit of sparkle with my Clear Wink of Stella pen. The papers I used here are from My Minds Eye.

Puppy Love

I just got this adorable digi stamp called Puppy Love from Tiddly Inks and I just had to sit down and use these lil dudes on a card.

I used some of my precious My Minds Eye paper pads as the base idea for this card and I used my colored pencils from Caran d'Arche.

These pencils are so soft and I just love discovering new things in coloring.

Teal and yellow

These colors go so well together - they always make me think of sunny days and lemonade! :)

I used the #117 sketch from Cardabilites as the inspiration piece for may card and I just went from there.

Colorful Thursday

I do love colors and when it comes to my hair I am not afraid of trying different kind of colors.

So when I got my hair done last month I just had to create a layout to capture my mad-hair-color addiction!

So I decided to go a bit mixed media and used some yummy products from Lindy's, Heidi Swapp, 13Arts, My Minds Eye, Studio Calico and Prima to make this layout a true color-fest!

My beloved Cameo got some much needed cut-action too!

I just love how this layout turned out!

Flower power

Spring is just around the corner - according to the calendar but when I look outside my window all I see is snow! 

 

 

 

So I am really longing for spring - wanting sunshine, flowers and all things not wintery to come my way!

Therefore I am creating cards with flowers, the larger the better and of course a bit of glitter when needed!

I sure hope your spring is less snowy than mine is at the moment!
