Every moment!

I just adore those everyday photos that capture those ever so fun everyday moments.

When I saw this photo taken by my man and our younger daughter I knew I just had to scrapbook it. I mean how flippin cute is this selfie!

I decide to have fun using some of my brand new set of watercolors and the pretty Blue Note scrapbook kit from Studio Calico.

Beauty in all things

I have had this Unity stamp in my stash for quite some time and I finally found the perfect way to add a bit of color to this stamp. 

I used several Tim Holtz Distress markers to add a bit of softness to the center of my card. I really love the way the watercolor effect is on cards and I think my Distress Marker addiction will be just as big as my Copic one! :D

These gorgeous note cards from Prima are so pretty and they look fab on cards.

Then I added some yummy Prima flowers, Melissa Frances trim, a doily and a Webster's Pages pin to the mix.

I also included one of the note cards on the inside cause these are too cute not to use.

CSI inspired layout

The current file (#116) over at CSI is a good one and I was mostly inspired by the colors from the file.

I decide to use some of my beloved My Minds Eye papers and several other yummy embellishments. Plus I knew I had to use this gorgeous Unity Stamp for my background.

I took this photo of my girls the there day while we were enjoying the spring-like weather and those two sure know how to have fun!

Distress markers try-outs

One of my New Years resolutions was to give the Distress Markers a go - and since I have no experience with water coloring what so ever this has been a challenge.

I made this card using some of my old fave Unity Stamps and I love the result.

I am used to color in my images with my Copic markers and the Distress markers are so nothing like my Copics.

It is a learning curve but I must admit that it is kinda fun and I really like the way my stamps look completely different with this kind of coloring medium.

I think I might just use my Tim Holtz Distress ink pads too and see how that goes.
