Cottage Life Envelope Cards | Graphic 45

Hello fellow crafters.

The Cottage collection is one of my faves (yes, I say that about all G45 papers) collections thus far.

The colours in the Cottage Life collection are beautiful and ever so soft. I wanted to focus on the Solids and Patterns because they look stunning and perfect for this project.

I start by cutting the extra part of the paper to measure exactly 12×12 inches. Then I score the paper at 6 inches, turn it and score it at 6 inches again.

Then I fold the paper on the score lines to make them sharper. Then each corner of the 12×12 paper is folded towards where the score lines meet and repeated for all four corners to create a square of the sort.

Next, fold the square into a rectangle, which is your envelope’s base. Then you cut one of the flaps away, and your shape is ready. Now take the time to ink all the edges if you want.

Adhere the section of the back of the envelope and make sure not to add adhesive to the flaps on the front. Those flaps create the pocket where you house your greeting.

Then add adhesive to the back rectangle part and fold them together to create a sturdy envelope card. All that is left is to decorate the card as much as your heart desires.

The greeting “card” that you place inside the card is 4×8 inches, and I recommend rounding the edges. Of course, adding a small stamped image is always a great idea.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
